I am a qualified Counsellor/psychotherapist previously working for MIND as a High Intensity Counsellor. I have my own private practice in West Dereham, near Downham Market, where I have a comfortable, private consultation room with easy parking.
I work occasional for the Charity Mind as a High Intensity Support Worker/Bridge Builder.
I began my training in 2005/2006 when I obtained a Level 2 and a Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills and Theory awarded by the NCFE. I then studied at the University of East Anglia and obtained a Diploma in Psychotherapeutic Counselling Dip PC and then progressed to the Advanced Professional Diploma, Ad.Prof.Dip.PC.
I am a Registered Member of the BACP (MBACP), British Association of Counselling Practitioners (accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care) and an accredited member of the National Counselling Society (MNCS Accrd) which is also accredited by the Royal College of Nursing). I am also a member of the Kings Lynn and West Norfolk Counselling Group (a team of professional Counsellors who get together on a regular basis).
I work within the BACP ethical Code of Practice for Counsellors and Psychotherapists.
I also hold a degree in Management and I am a member of the Chartered Management Institute (MCMI)
Previous to my Counselling career I worked in Senior Management predominantly in strategy, personnel issues and training programmes, and project management.
